3M PHARMACEUTICALS WINS INDUSTRY AWARD Australian Technology Partner of the Year

3M Australia's Pharmaceutical division voted Technology Partner of the Year by wholesalers at Diana Awards dinner.

SYDNEY -- 7 November, 2002 -- The Australian operation of 3M Pharmaceuticals has been recognised in the 2002 National Pharmaceutical Services Awards. The Diana Awards Dinner held on 31st October is an annual event hosted by the Pharmaceutical Wholesalers.

3M Australias Pharmaceuticals division won the 2002 Technology Partner of the Year category. They were judged according to the following 3 criteria: -
·   Willingness to partner in the conceptualisation and establishment of protocols for the introduction of new initiatives
·   Commitment by the entire management team in implementing the new technology to agreed time frames, for example processing turnover orders through the Pharmaceutical Extranet Gateway.
·   Clear evidence of reduction in supply chain costs.

3M Pharmaceuticals implemented the Berger HealthCare ETMS system for their OTC field sales force in May 2001. According to Peter Ekins, National Sales Manager OTC for 3M Pharmaceuticals, the Berger Healthcare Territory Management solution has enabled 3M Australia to be at the forefront of the industry in relation to field sales technology"

Peter Ekins equally praised the 3M Pharma Customer Service Team and the National Accounts Manager Ken Lupton for their efforts in streamlining the order processing and communication process with their major customers."
