Greater Lansing Association, 1st Association in the Country to provide all REALTORS® transaction management system through MonsterClose.com

Bedford, Texas, November 06, 2002, The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® is leading the industry again by being the first in the country to embrace technology to its next level. In the early 1960s when virtually no Association in the country had formulated a policy of nondiscrimination, The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® created a statement of policy forbidding members from discriminating on the basis of race or creed in the housing market. The position statement was subsequently adopted by the Michigan Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. In 1983, the Association was the first in the country to purchase computer systems and make access to computerized MLS information available in every Office, and now this is a standard. Once again, The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® is leading the industry by providing transaction management through MonsterClose.com for their associates to effectively manage their customers.

MonsterClose.com is the company responsible for getting buyers, sellers, agents, mortgage companies, and all other ancillary service providers on the same page. MonsterClose offers leading edge patent pending technology that allows the participating agents to jointly manage a customer on one screen, from the first point of contact to the close of sale. Although MonsterClose was designed as an agent productivity tool, the person that ultimately benefits is the consumer. In excess of seventy percent of homebuyers have one common complain in the home buying process, and that is that they were not kept in the loop. MonsterClose.com virtually eliminates this issue offering automated notifications throughout the transaction, as well as secured internet login access" said, Dave Alexander, National Sales Director for MonsterClose.com. As our first association wide licensee, the GLAR has set the model for the most cost efficient, and technologically advanced solution to transaction management. Literally all parties to the transaction have secured login access to the most current status of a given transaction. REALTOR® members can order all ancillary services with a couple of clicks as opposed to numerous phone calls and faxes. This is a fantastic opportunity for all parties involved."

Elaine West, CEO of The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS®, had this to say. Our research indicated that there was one way to go with transaction management platforms. We determined that our members needed a platform that could be used by everyone in the association. It needed to provide open gateway connectivity. It needed to not be tied to any predefined ancillary service providers and most importantly it needed to give our members the ability to jointly manage a transaction on the same page. MonsterClose.com was the only TMP that provided all of these features. The pricing structure was quite reasonable and GLAR is leading the way for what we believe will be the standard in transaction management.

It should not be a surprise to the industry that the Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® is once again is blazing a path in the industry for the country to follow.
