WeatherHawk announces a NEW Internet compatable Automatic Home Weather Station

The WeatherHawk home weather station is easily installed by a non-technical user. WeatherHawk enables a home weather hobbiest to automatically monitor current weather conditions, to log data for historical weather archiving, and to provide weather and weather forecast information over the internet.

Title Block:

WeatherHawk TM
Weather Station for Home Weather, Education, Environmental, and Industrial Applications

Text Block(s)

The WeatherHawk weather station is designed for easy installation and use by consumers, educators, students, and resource managers. WeatherHawk is ideal for less demanding applications, not requiring a scientific-grade weather station. WeatherHawk is preprogrammed to provide simple meteorological data; including the formerly complex calculation of ETo (evaporotranspiration), typically used for turf grass management.

The WeatherHawk weather station is supplied with internet compatible Virtual Weather Station software; and is fully assembled including meteorological sensors, a solar panel, and a protective case that houses the on-board microprocessor, solar panel recharged battery pack and spread spectrum radio transmitter. The WeatherHawk weather station and solar panel (supplied) are easy attached to a 1 ¼ to 2" O.D. pole (user supplied).

The WeatherHawk on-board microprocessor automatically measures the sensors, and then stores the data in an on-board data logger before transmitting the data to a (user supplied) remote personal computer (PC). A spread spectrum base station radio is supplied to connect to the PC and receive transmissions from the WeatherHawk weather station. With typical line-of-sight conditions the WeatherHawk spread spectrum radios can transmit over distances of one-half a mile.

User installation is as simple as 1-2-3-4.
1 Remove the WeatherHawk from the shipping box (no assembly is required);
2 Install the WeatherHawk and solar panel on the user supplied pole
3 Attach the spread pectrum base station radio to a serial port on the user supplied PC, or MAC computer.
4 Install Virtual Weather software and turn on the WeatherHawk weather station switch.

Within minutes, a typical user can begin monitoring weather information directly on their PC, and/or remotely over the Internet.
