This solution is integrated with SiS¡¦s SoC 552 and SetaBox Technology¡¦s outstanding MSD-400 MPEG-4 decoder card. The single chipset, SiS550 family, provides a high performance/low cost SoC (System on Chip) solution by integrating an x86 compatible processor, high performance North Bridge, advanced hardware GUI engine and Super-South bridge. In addition, SiS550 family complies with Easy PC Initiative that supports Instantly Available/OnNow PC technology, USB, Legacy Removal, CIR, Memory Stick, Smart Card and Slotless Design for a variety of IA (Information Appliance) applications.

SiS550 family integrates a high-performance processor that supports x86 instruction set with 3 integer units, 3-way superscalar architecture, and a fully pipelined floating point unit. In addition, the processor is a power-efficient design that optimizes the power consumption for information appliance applications.

     MSD-400 developed by SetaBox is the first MPEG-4 video decoder card for high-resolution TV display in the world. With advanced embedded digital signal processing (DSP) technology, MSD-400 provides fast decoding speed and high quality video output as processing compressed multimedia stream conveyed from the Internet. The powerful MSD-400 can support resolution up to 4CIF (720x480 pixel) at 30 frames per second. In one sixth of the data transmission rate of MPEG-2 video, MSD-400 allows customers to enjoy video in near-DVD quality and audio in near-CD. Besides, MSD-400 is supporting ISO MPEG-4 standard format and more video and audio streaming formats will be supported by remote upgrading capability.
