Nurse Scientist, Rhoda Zione Alale, auctions irrigation technologies at eBay. Says... She's on a crusade to prevention limb amputations around the world!
"Nurses are inventors too!," says Rhoda Zione Alale, Chief Nurse Scientist of Nursing Technologies International (NTI), Inc. in Hyattsville, MD. When asked why she listed her technology for auction at eBay?… She replied, "I needed a reputable source to help me… so I turned to eBay. Ebay is great and millions of people shop there everyday! The world of medical manufacturing is a highly competitive one. The doors are very difficult to open for nurse inventors. Too many nurses give up trying to bring their technology to market. I refuse to let mine be buried. I founded NTI because I have seen too many legs SAVED from amputation with this process… including my own Mothers. And, sadly, doctors NO LONGER GET PAID FOR PROVIDING WOUND CARE (CPT Code 97602)…unless they irrigate the wound. We as providers can no longer deny patients optimal wound care. Simply stated, wounds should be irrigated when treated. However, there are no devices available that are disposable, single unit, irrigation systems that are as easy as 1, 2, 3…so I invented them. I have knocked on doors long enough. Now, Im on a world-wide crusade to SAVE LIMBS from amputation. I hope ebay will help me get the word out and find an investor to help me bring these irrigation technologies to market.
