Online Buzz Builds For Superthrive
The band Superthrive has been getting attention online. Their website bypassed 8,000 hits, forums are springing up and interviews for online zines.
November 2002- Superthrive is getting some admirable attention on the internet music scene. Hits on the bands website have bypassed 8,000. Superthrive forums have sprung up on music sites such as stonerrock.com. and webtunes.com Online music zine INDIEcator also did a review of the bands last release Seven Songs For Sinners" on Beard Of Stars Records. INDIEcators review declared " This should have a huge audience."
On-line magazine Undergroundbeat Online recently contacted the band for a full-length interview to discuss the project details of their collaboration with producer Chris Goss ((STP, Queens of The Stone Age, Russell Crowe, Kyuss, The Flys...). NYs own Octone Records also contacted Superthrive, to request a preview of the songs being submitted to Mr. Goss.
October ended with a bang for Superthrive. On Halloween night the band opened for the illustrious Toilet Boys at Connections in Clifton NJ. Superthrive, enticing the crowd with their heavy/stoner sound and catchy riffs, debuted new material to a packed club. Local college radio station WSOU 89.5FM and Bonfire TV promoted the show with free advertising and giveaways.
Superthrive will be back on Friday October 22, 2002 at The Continental, located at 25 Third Avenue. Showtime is 12 midnight.
