Noteworthy corporate activity includes the release of its latest product, now integrated with SpeechWorks International's [NASDAQ:SPWX] speech recognition technology; an OEM agreement with SpeechWorks; and significant expansion of it global distribution network.

The company also announces the successful conclusion of a new financing round.

LocusDialogSTS systems incorporate speech-enabled call routing applications, speech-dialed directories and speech-driven information access. The LocusDialogSTS system provides highly efficient front-end call answering and call transferring. Callers can simply ask for whom or what they want and get connected without needing a live operator or having to resort to touch-tone dialing.

Building on momentum established earlier in the year by the re-branding of its product (formerly the Liaison system), LocusDialog released LocusDialogSTS version 7.0. This enhanced offering incorporates SpeechWorks' Open Speech Recognizer and Speechify engines, respectively known for their advanced speech recognition and text-to-speech capabilities. LocusDialog extended its solid national and international distribution network via several agreements with major telecom distributors. These included:
- NEC Business Network Solutions (BNS), NEC America's direct sales and service organization, and the largest distributor of NEC voice products in the United States;
- North American Communications Resources (NACR), premier provider of complete AVAYA communications systems and solutions and widely recognized as AVAYA's foremost call center solution provider; and

- MacroVoice Networks, a leading supplier of telecommunications solutions for the small and medium-size enterprise sector, chose the newly introduced LocusDialogSTS Lite product as their speech offering in support of their national network of distributors..

SpeechWorks International, global leader in speech technologies and services, selected the LocusDialogSTS platform to power SpeechWorks' SpeechSite 3.0 auto-attendant offering. SpeechSite combines the enhanced call routing features and telephony integrations of the LocusDialog application platform with the superior performance and accuracy of SpeechWorks' ASR technology.
