6th Exhibition of Modern Art - Forlì

The sixth edition of "Contemporanea", the yearly meeting with modern art in Forli, will happen from 23 to 25 November 2002. The exhibition of modern art will host almost 120 among the most prestigious Italian galleries of art. The precious advice of Francesco Gallo, artistic consultant of the exhibition, has permitted a rich program of artistic presences and collateral national and European projects.

The sixth edition of "Contemporanea", the yearly meeting with modern art in Forli, will happen from 23 to 25 November 2002. The exhibition of modern art will host almost 120 among the most prestigious Italian galleries of art. The precious advice of Francesco Gallo, artistic consultant of the exhibition, has permitted a rich program of artistic presences and collateral national and European projects. Beside the traditional market fair one will find some places dedicated to the public institutions and to the fundations. Among the fundations Palazzo Bandera di Busto Arsizio (Va), the Pinacoteca of Modena, the Fondazione Orestiadi of Gibellina (Tp), the Pinacoteca of Forlì, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Palermo, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, the I.B.C. Emilia Romagna will be present, but also the cities of Castelvetrano - Selinunte (TP), Lugo, Cesenatico, Bagnacavallo, Cento.

Among the collateral exhibitions people will admire the paintings of the most famous Italian painters, such as Mimmo Rotella, Franco Angeli, Renato Mambor, Paolo Baratella, Lumaca, Peverelli, Castellani, Osvaldo Piraccini, Saverio Terruso, Gianfranco Ferroni, Giampiero Podestà, Gianni Dova, Ceccobelli e Pozzati .

People will also find the collection of the Faenza artist Zauli, ceramist dead has also been invited. In his workshop in Faenza Zauli has hosted several artists such as Picasso, De Chirico and Ontani.

Other artists at "Contemporanea" will be Carla Accardi, Gero Sicurella and Vito Linares, presents in the stands of the Marsala Gallery of Modern Art with Giuseppe Bertolino's paintings.

Among the collateral sections, this year you will find the one dedicated to sculpture with works of Luigi Mainolfi, Gloria Argeles, Antonio Violetta, Giuseppe Maraniello and Alex Pinna, with the exhibition Rocche e Sculture" managed by Marisa Zattini of Il Vicolo" (Cesena). Besides the traditional languages and expressions the Forlì Exhibition will surprise and astonish wit other news: there will be a section dedicated to videoart, with works of national and European artists who will afford the theme of art and technology relationship.

The languages of art are changed today and they have created a new "humanism" which has led the art towards particular and astonishing crossings. The main interest of Contemporanea" will be its ability to join great spots of history and memory with the fluidity of contemporary languages, through projects and choices discussing harmoniously, in order to reveal art and history at the same tame and in the same place, with elegance and originality.
