Central to the operations, the company has also opened a brand new headquarters in Hunenberg, Switzerland to centralise operations and to provide more space for its own FAST Academy, where customers technicians are trained and licensed. The company also has offices in Germany and the UK, as well as a network of distributors worldwide.
Commenting on the new company strategy, Beat Meier CEO of the FAST Group said, After much deliberation and the desire to be fully associated with the highly important security market we believe that this new name underlines the Groups further commitment to the security sector. The company now specialises in advanced, extremely high quality digital recording systems with stereo HQ audio, producing solutions for a whole host of applications from banks and casinos to retailers, shopping centres, airports and stadia."
FAST latest third generation MPEG-2 recording systems now provide real time, full frame resolution video recording with stereo HQ audio and have been tested and installed in casinos for example, where low ambient light conditions are one of the most difficult environments for CCTV.
FAST Video Security first entered the security marketplace in 1995 as FAST Media Integrations and set new standards with the launch of its first generation digital recorders. Development over the past two years has included the range of MPEG-2 based video management systems for security and surveillance. Applications of FAST products range from property and land intruder detection to observation for investigation services and airports. Network-based video management systems by FAST featuring on-line support and maintenance capabilities are installed at international airports such as Heathrow and are in use 24 hours a day. Notably, exported pictures from FAST systems can be authenticated and encrypted, enabling them to be presented as evidence in Court.
