EMINEM'S FORMER HOME TO BE SOLD AT ONLINE AUCTION

Former home of singer to be sold at online auction

Surety Investments, L.L.C., a real estate partnership, has purchased the former home of the popular Detroit-based rap artist Eminem and intends to sell the property in an online auction, it was announced today.

The home on Timken Avenue in Warren, Michigan was the singer's home for several years. Formerly the property of Eminem's uncle, it had previously belonged to the singers grandmother and had been in the familys possession for about fifty years.

Eminem lived in the Timken Avenue home in the years prior to his meteoric rise to international stardom, and wrote much of his early material during his residency. The surrounding environs--north suburban Detroit, Eight Mile Road, and the singer's experiences while living there--continue to figure prominently in his music, as well as in his recently-released film Eight Mile.

"This is a part of regional music history," says Surety Investments, L.L.C. partner Sebastian Lucido. "Eminem is arguably the most significant cultural contribution that Detroit has made to the world music scene since the advent of Motown. We believe that there is a lot of interest in this home, because there's a lot of interest in Eminem and his music."

"If there is a poet laureate of the current Detroit experience, it is probably Eminem."

The home is to be placed into an online auction within the week. Additional information and photographs of the house are available at http:// 64.176.89.133/eminemhouse.html.

"If you've listened to Eminem's music, you know that it really reflects his life. This is where a lot of that stuff went down," Lucido says. "There's a real history to this house, and we hope that whoever winds up living here is a fan and respects that."
