HP Hood Inc., has acquired the license to manufacture and distribute Southern ComfortÂ® Egg Nog. HP Hood is one of the largest branded dairy operators in the United States.
This non-alcoholic line of Southern ComfortÂ® branded products will be available for consumers to purchase in the fourth quarter of 2002 in supermarkets nationally.
"We licensed HP Hood for the Southern Comfort Egg Nog because of their experience in selling high quality egg nog on a national basis," said Janna Markle, AVP, director of brand licensing for Brown-Forman Corporation. IMC Licensing in Louisville, the licensing agency representing Southern Comfort negotiated the terms of the agreement between the two parties.
Two flavors of Southern Comfort Egg Nog will be launched. Traditional Egg Nog, made from the finest ingredients, is a special recipe that yields a smooth and creamy taste sensation like no other. Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice Egg Nog has a rich creamy vanilla flavor with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon. Southern Comfort Traditional and Vanilla Spice Egg Nogs are available in quart size units. The package design emphasizes the brand's unique attributes, the products' premium quality and conveys a festive holiday theme.
The Southern ComfortÂ® Egg Nog flavors are based on unique combinations of fruit and spice flavors creating smooth, delicious, non-alcoholic beverages that reflect the key flavor notes of the Southern Comfort liqueur.
