Think the Bible Says All Things Were Created Only 6,000 Years Ago? Think Again!

Using the literal wording of the old King James Bible, resurrecting an obscure 18th century Bible Creation doctrine, and subjecting both to examination against todays geologic evidence, a Science and Scripture Internet website is proposing a new solution to the ongoing Evolution vs. Creationism debate: Both sides are wrong, yet both are partially right!

According to a collection of essays at the http://www.kjvbible.org">Christian Geology Ministry (at www.kjvbible.org), the Earth already existed, but in a ruined and desolate state, before the work of the sevens days began. This website presents the theory that what God made in those seven days was a replacement heavens and Earth, a regeneration of the original creation of God, made from the ruins of what was already here.

The sites theology is based on a modern-day reinterpretation of an old Fundamentalist doctrine which is commonly known as the Gap Theory" or Ruin-Reconstruction interpretation of Genesis, derived from a literal reading of Genesis 1:2 in the King James Bible which states:

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

Supporting articles on the website argue that this ancient planet Earth, where the dinosaurs once ruled the land millions of years before, had become completely void of life and was nothing more than a dark, watery wasteland at the point in historical time just prior to 6,000 years ago. God then restored all things, creating Adam and Eve to replace a previous race of creatures who had inhabited the Earth until the final days of the Ice Age.

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."
(Genesis 1:28 KJV)

According to materials presented on the website, the Ice Age is the geological event that marks the approximate time of the old world's demise. Further, that what Evolutionists contend are the ancient remains of the ancestors of man were not really man's ancestors. They were something biologically similar in structure, but biologically unrelated. The site contends that recent DNA testing of Neanderthal remains provides compelling supportive evidence for this hypothesis.

Once you examine all sides of the issue, that old Gap Theory is the only possible Biblical explanation that allows for both the geologic evidence of an Old Earth and the literal wording of the Holy Bible, without appeals to Evolution, symbolism and allegory, or outright denial of much widely-accepted scientific data." says Gaines R. Johnson of Huntington, West Virginia - the sites author and Webmaster.

The website also presents a companion study on Noah's global flood and the Bibles clues to the geophysics that produced it. Using both Scientific and Biblical arguments, this site offers some thought-provoking reading on Creationism and explains many anomalies and obscure passages of Scripture, while addressing the facts on both sides of the current debate on origins.
