Thunder Air Charter Inc. Appoints Kevin Colson Director of Operations

– Kevin Colson has been appointed director of operations for Thunder Air Charter, Inc. Jerry L. Leath, president and chief operating officer of Thunder Aviation NA, Inc., parent company of Thunder Air Charter, made the announcement. Colson has over 17 years of experience in the aviation industry, and more than 10 years experience in management. He has held positions as chief pilot and pilot training supervisor, with over 15,000 hours flying time (11,500 as Pilot in Command).

St. Louis, November 8, 2002 – Kevin Colson has been appointed director of operations for Thunder Air Charter, Inc. Jerry L. Leath, president and chief operating officer of Thunder Aviation NA, Inc., parent company of Thunder Air Charter, made the announcement.

Colson has over 17 years of experience in the aviation industry, and more than 10 years experience in management. He has held positions as chief pilot and pilot training supervisor, with over 15,000 hours flying time (11,500 as Pilot in Command). Most recently, Colson was with Southern Aviation and Marine in Florida, where he was responsible for all flight operations associated with the Part 135 operator.

In his new position, Colson will be responsible for all aircraft charter operations, as well as overseeing all FAA regulatory compliance, flight training and crew scheduling.

Based at Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, Mo., Thunder Aviation is a full service fixed base operator (FBO) offering an extensive maintenance and avionics program, ranging from prepurchase evaluations and major inspections to heavy maintenance. In addition, Thunder Aviation provides charter services and corporate aircraft management. With over 100,000 square feet of hangar space, Thunder Aviation services aircraft of all sizes, ranging from single engine piston to large multi-engine turbine powered aircraft.
