Empiric & RamSoft collaborate for a revolutionary PACS/RIS solution
Empiric Systems, LLC (Raleigh, NC) and RamSoft, Inc. (Toronto, ON) have
formalized their existing partnership to further develop an integrated
PACS/RIS solution for imaging centers and community hospitals.

Empiric Systems specializes in web-based radiology information systems, while Ramsoft provides web-based PACS and diagnostic workstation software. The two companies have worked together on many successful installations throughout the US since early 2002 including Atlantic Diagnostic Center (NC), ImageCare (SC), Diagnostic X-Ray Physicians (KY), and others.
The revolutionary offering is "A PACS solution with the fastest reading time driven by an efficient RIS backed by a pricing model that increases the facility's profit right away!" says Vijay Ramanathan, President of RamSoft. "Even lower-volume smaller imaging centers are now demanding tighter integration between their PACS and RIS to facilitate a more efficient workflow; this partnership will better enable us to meet these demands at price point attainable for operations of all sizes," according to Mark Janas, Vice-President of Empiric Systems.
The partnership agreement outlines a development path for the enhancement of existing integration, as well as the creation new tools and components to more closely tie images and patient information. The companies will be exhibiting the integrated solution at the RSNA in booth 2337, December 1-5, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
