Controversial words from critically acclaimed new author Jake Beamer
Jake Beamer is a daring young writer from south Florida who is quickly becoming popular in underground circles. His blunt viewpoints often form a unique, eccentric writing style. He also dabbles in additional forms of creative expression ranging from art to music and web design.
Jake Beamer, 22 year old experimental writer, has something to say. His three recent books have been gaining popularity recently, one novel (entitled The Deaths of Heroes) and two collections of his infamous and highly experimental poetry (one entitled Landphilosophy and the other Arealdream[er]imagined That He Couldn't).
Jake's heart has always been in writing since he was young. After being exposed to early influences like Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein (both of whom continue to provide inspiration to this day), Jake started to experiment on different forms of standard styles. Early teen years were filled with Richard Brautigan days, Allen Ginsberg afternoons, and e.e. cummings nights.
Music took up a lot of his spare time then - even up until now - since Jake has always been fascinated by words put to sound a la many of history's other great word-painters like Bob Dylan, John Lennon and Kurt Cobain - hell, even Ginsberg played the blues. And near the end of high school, a fascination with drug culture crept in, after many sleepless nights of mind expansion.
Jake later discovered Hakim Bey, Hunter S. Thompson and delved deeply into Kerouac and Nietschze. A style emerged like none other. Taking the non-editing cues from Ginsberg and Burroughs and the nonsense-yet-sense of Seuss and Brautigan to a new level, Jake poured his heart into several years of nonstop writing, much of which can be found in recent ebook compilations of his material.
Lately, this odd writer has dabbled with technical writing, ad and web copy, and more. Always trying to hone his craft until there is nothing on the earth left to write about, Jake Beamer keeps on pushing the pen.
