Introduce Your Child To The Instruments In The Orchestra!

Created For Toddlers Through Early Grade School Years,
Lolli-Pops Live Concert Made Available On TapeFor The First Time

New York, NY - For 55 years, The Little Orchestra Society has brought children and classical music together, introducing nearly one million youngsters to the magic of music and the great composers. Now, for the first time, a live concert from the Lolli-Pops series has been taped and will be made available for sale on video and DVD.
The Orchestra - A Happy Family" is the first concert to be taped from this series. In a program that combines greatclassical works with treasured nursery rhyme songs, Mister Maestro (DinoAnagnost) and four featured characters (Bow the Panda, Toot the Bird, Buzz theBee and Bang the Lion) introduce the children to the four families of the orchestra. The viewers will find themselves swept away into the magical world of music as they visit a musical sweet shop where they meet each instrument up close. They see how the strings Bow, the woodwinds Toot, the brass Buzz and the percussion instruments Bang while singing, clapping, dancing and conducting along with the performers. Who knew that giant gumdrops turned upside down look like timpani drums or that a huge tootsie roll standing on end resembles a bassoon? Toot dances to a delicious treat in Debussys"Golliwog's Cakewalk," Buzz juggles Turkish Delight to Mozart's TurkishRondo," and all four characters get wound up in sugar plum candy during theDance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from The Nutcracker." The children even use their own candy batons to conduct along with Mister Maestro as the concertcomes to a rousing end!

"The Orchestra - A HappyFamily" was taped before a live audience in October 2002 at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College in New YorkCity, and features a 21 piece orchestra under the music direction of MaestroDino Anagnost. For this taping, All-Mobile Videos triple expando entertainment mobile unit Celebrity" brought 10 cameras to the playhouse, under the direction of Stage Director and Choreographer Annette Jolles and multiple Emmy Award winner David Stern. Jolles and Stern also serve as Producers ofthe video, along with All-Mobile Video and Chelsea Post executives Eric Dukeand Richard Duke. The Little Orchestra Society musicians featured in the program are some of New Yorks finest professional musicians, and have graced stages from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to some of Broadways finest theaters, as well as traveled to concert hallsaround the world. Individually, theyteach at the finest music schools in the country, including the Julliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes School of Music and numerous renowned universities.

The Orchestra - A HappyFamily" will be simultaneously releasedon VHS and DVD. The DVD will offer additional special features including a fun quiz about the concert and a very special behind-the-stage door peek at how Mister Maestro gets ready for the concert. The VHS and DVD will be available for purchase in November 2002 for $20 (VHS) and $25 (DVD), plus tax (where applicable) and shipping.
