REVOLUTIONARY BRIEFCASE FIGHTS TERRORISM IN ARIZONA PHARMACEUTICAL TEST

The State of Arizona is deploying the TAC-PAK Emergency Operations Center In A Briefcase" portable command/communications system during their joint CDC statewide bioterrorism pharmaceutical stockpile exercise November 20 -- 22, 2002.

November 18, 2002 - HERMOSA BEACH, CA--308 SYSTEMS (http://www.308systems.com/), a leader in first responder communication systems design, today announced the State of Arizona is deploying the TAC-PAK Emergency Operations Center In A Briefcase" portable command/communications system during their joint statewide bioterrorism pharmaceutical stockpile exercise November 20 -- 22, 2002.

This joint Centers for Disease Control and Arizona Department of Health Services(ADHS) exercise will test the protocols and planned pharmaceutical distribution methodologies following a widespread bioterrorism attack in the Western United States. Similar to the briefcases James Bond carried to vanquish foes, the TAC-PAK will provide the ADHS/Office of Bioterrorism & Epidemic Preparedness & Response with a lightweight, battery powered, man portable communication system with full wireless communications functionality integrated into a small briefcase. Exercise participants will travel to multiple pharmaceutical stockpile and distribution sites. Once at the site, the TAC-PAK will provide an independent command/communication system enabling CDC and ADHS command personnel to access the internet, send faxes, print documents, and much more. Due to it's compact size and portability, the TAC-PAK can be deployed to the top of a building, the middle of a lake, or through streets blocked with tornado/hurricane/earthquake debris, ice, etc. From there, data and operations communications may be established with the world.
