Newest Release of Cross-Enterprise Collaboration Service Launched at Fall Comdex

Virtual-WorkSpaces empowers teams with a new user interface and synchronization with popular business tools, like MS Outlook

LAS VEGAS, Nev. November 18, 2002 VirtualDesign Network, the leading collaboration service provider, is showcasing the newest release of its global, interactive collaboration service at Fall Comdex in Las Vegas. Virtual-WorkSpaces is the leading-edge, all digital collaboration solution that helps people in highly collaborative environments communicate and work together in real time, face-to-face, regardless of location or enterprise boundaries. The browser-based service now features a new user interface and a host of customer-driven upgrades, including synchronization with Microsoft Outlook.

Collaboration is more than just sharing files, pushing a PowerPoint presentation to 100 people, or holding a weekly conference call. Collaboration is about building relationships and working together on joint intellectual efforts," said Robert Ebert, president and CEO of VirtualDesign Network. Virtual-WorkSpaces is uniquely designed to help organizations create a well-connected collaboration environment and, at the same time, improve productivity and streamline operational costs."

According to recent studies by Forrester research, the market need for cross-enterprise collaboration is on the rise. Organizations have increased the use of collaboration tools by more than 30 percent since September 2001. Additionally, 72 percent of organizations see supplier collaboration critical to their success in 2003.

Virtual-WorkSpaces features a full set of tools to make an all-digital, shared collaborative environment the preferred way of working. Subscribers of the browser-based service gain instant access to on-demand, multi-point videoconferencing; calendaring and scheduling; file sharing and mark-up; application sharing; data transfer; and real-time viewing over 260 file formats, including AutoCAD drawings, project planning documents, live and recorded training videos, and other graphic-intensive files. The new features added to the subscription service include:
·   New User Interface Virtual-WorkSpaces is now more intuitive and easier to use for all subscribers.
·   3D Viewer Now subscribers can view both 2-D and 3-D files, which is critical to product developers and engineers.
·   Synchronization with MS-Outlook Subscribers can now import and export critical data, including contacts, emails and appointments to/from Virtual-WorkSpaces.

Virtual-WorkSpaces subscribers can access the network anywhere that offers access to a broadband Internet connection, even on a wireless connection at Starbucks.

"As a global manufacturer, the need for bringing products to market faster via improved processes and communications is greater today than it ever has been before," said Byron Ridgeway, system program analyst of Precision Castparts. "Weve just begun to implement Virtual-WorkSpaces and are extremely excited about the potential cost and time savings the solution can bring our company. We look forward to fully utilizing the service throughout the organization and, ultimately, with our global trade partners."
