launched a totally UNIQUE service via the internet and mobile phones to
teach children the lost" art of saving up for things and making charity
donations.
The site provides children with their own internet bank account, whilst
their parents or guardians act as the bank. To encourage saving,
parents can have pocket money automatically added to the account, and
can promise a tangible rate of interest should the money remain unspent
for a week. To encourage charity donations, children can opt to give
as they earn", by pledging a portion of their pocket money to a charity
of THEIR choice. Parents can further encourage this by promising to
match these pledges with their own money.
The website provides the usual facilities of internet banking:
statements, transactions, interest etc. in addition to which it also
offers:

- tailor-made graphs showing future projected growth of a childs savings
- tracking of a child's "wish list"
- an estimate of the date at which the child will have saved enough to
- the item at the top of their wish list".

The site is funded using a similar model to that of the famous Friends
Reunited" website. A small subscription fee will enable a family with up
to five children to run an internet piggy bank for their children for a
whole year. To reinforce the charitable and educational spirit of the
site, the company is donating 10% of each subscription charge to
childrens charities.
