EASTSOUND, Wash. -- Nov. 20, 2002 -- The Rosario Resort and Spa, located in the San Juan Islands of Washington state, today announced the completion of its renovation project of the historic Roundhouse on the resorts property. Rosario Resort is now taking reservations for the Roundhouse luxury suite and other accommodations for the resorts reopening in April of 2003.

The Roundhouse, which was once a childrens playhouse on the Orcas Island estate of original owner Robert Moran, is now a 450-square-foot suite with a sweeping view of the bay. It is privately situated adjacent to the resorts main mansion and features an outdoor deck, sitting room with a fireplace and built-in mahogany desk, bedroom with a king-size sleigh bed, and bathroom with a large shower, granite and heated floor.

Our newly-remodeled Roundhouse is one of the most unique luxury suites in the Pacific Northwest, and were pleased that we can offer this caliber of accommodations to our guests," said Tom Juliano, general manager of the Rosario Resort and Spa. The Roundhouse is ideal for executive travelers, honeymooners, and discriminating vacationers."

Rates for the Roundhouse will be $550 per night September through June, and $750 per night July and August. Special lodging packages are available and may include air travel, spa treatments, meals, and in-room amenities. Other room rates begin at $129 per night, and vary by season.

When Rosario Resort reopens in April of 2003, phase one of its renovation project designed to restore the resort to its original architectural grandeur of the early 1900s will be completed. In addition to the Roundhouse, other improvements will include updates to the hotel lobby and front desk area, restaurant, boutique and outdoor landscaping.
