QSSI Announces PowerHouse v.7
Piscataway, NJ - QSSI, a technology leader in providing Distribution, Fulfillment, Warehousing Automation and Supply Chain Software, announced the release of PowerHouse version 7.0 today. Version 7 builds upon a foundation of an already comprehensive and easy-to-use warehouse management system to provide even more exceptional functionality.
"PowerHouse already packages a phenomenal amount of functionality into one piece of software," says QSSI president Ed Troianello, "but we are always looking for ways to squeeze that extra ounce of value into our software. Version 7 adds considerable depth to existing features while still continuing to provide everything that previous versions had; rules-based, as opposed to programmatical configurations, adaptability to any warehousing environment, and above all solid usability."
PowerHouse version 7 introduces production line control, new options for picking and shipping, and special features for sites that ship to consolidators. The production line components handle everything from the initial Bill of Materials through reconciling quantities being returned to stock with the amounts automatically deducted from source locations during the course of the production run. Sites that ship to consolidators instead of directly to the customer will find new features that will create the appropriate shipping loads, customizable to the format that their consolidators want to accept the shipments, and all of the necessary shipping documents for both the consolidator and the final ship-to.
Version 7 also expands upon many existing features of the system, including kitting, 3PL billing, item control, RF functionality, reporting, receiving and picking/shipping. Communications with the warehouse or shop floor are also improved with the ability to hold 2-way text discussions between administrators and RF users.
New features such as being able to clone a new item, location, receipt or order from and existing one simplify administration of the system. New reporting topics have been added that will assist any administrator in their duties and Third Party Logistics sites will benefit from a wider range of charging options and more robust reports on client space usage and transaction tracking. Additional 'lottable fields allow more information to be stored about products and provide an additional means of controlling and tracking the use of those products.
