The AIIP Technology Award goes to a company whose product assists independent information professionals with their day-to-day operations in locating, analyzing, and organizing information.
The AIIP Awards Committee selected askSam 5 because it is innovative information management software that searches and reports on full-text documents and imports a variety of desktop data forms including documents, email, Web pages, and PDF files. askSam 5 saves an information professional time when searching, organizing, sorting, and reporting data. Since 1985 askSam Systems has been helping individuals and organizations better manage their information. Their popular text-database and Web publishing tools provide a flexible, affordable, and easy-to-use alternative to traditional structured databases. (http://www.asksam.com )
