Futures Magazine -- Nominations for Pushcart Prize

Futures Mysterious Anthology Magazine takes pride in being on the editorial board of the prestigious Pushcart Prizes and is delighted to announce its nominations.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Pushcart and its founder, Bill Henderson, this annual award represents writing _today_. Because nominees are chosen by the small press publisher who published the work during the year, they are the best of each publisher's best.

The result is a 600-page clothbound volume, THE PUSHCART PRIZE: BEST OF THE SMALL PRESSES. It will be published in the fall of 2003, followed in the spring with a paperback printing.

There are over 200 small press publishers who contribute each year. Futures Mysterious Anthology Magazine is very proud to have been listed as a contributing editor in the past several volumes.

This is one award where a nomination alone can be vital to a writer's career and should surely
remain in his or her resume forever.

The Pushcart Prize was named among the most influential projects in the history of American publishing by Publishers Weekly. Library Journal says, "These authors are not only our finest storytellers, poets and essayists they are also the guardians of our language."
