LOOK TO MALAYSIA" AT COMDEX FALL 2002

Malaysia, driven by her key Government and Government sponsored agencies in the ICT sector - Multimedia Development Corporation (MDC), Technology Park Malaysia Corporation (TPM), Malaysia Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) is proud to announce its inaugural participation in the COMDEX Fall 2002 under the Malaysian pavilion (Booth No: 10861, Central Hall), Las Vegas Convention Centre (see www.malaysiacomdex.com).

This years theme Look To Malaysia" comes with five main objectives.

·   To showcase Malaysia to the world;
·   To position Malaysia as a preferred location for ICT products, services and solutions;
·   To explore potential markets and areas of collaboration with COMDEX visitors;
·   To provide COMDEX visitors with information on opportunities available in Malaysia; and
·   To exhibit Malaysian ICT products, services and solutions

Our theme for this year is very appropriate. Investors should 'Look to Malaysia for solid returns, global integration, the right people, a good life, and for world-class products and services.

The primary showcase of the Malaysian pavilion will be the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). The Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) is Malaysias national ICT initiative that aims to revolutionise how Malaysians and others in the region conduct business. Located at the hub of Asia's fastest-growing markets, the MSC occupies a 15 km by 50 km corridor governed by groundbreaking Cyberlaws, policies and practices that enable operating companies to harness the full potential of ICT and Multimedia. Its goal is to provide an ideal multimedia environment that attracts topflight Malaysian and international IT and multimedia companies or those that has the potential to become world-class over time.

The MSC has become the regional launch site for companies developing or using leading multimedia technology, allowing these innovators to harness Malaysia's unique competitive advantages that arise from its multicultural links, committed leadership, and proven track record in developing products and services for regional and global markets.

The first completed and fully operational facility within the MSC is Technology Park Malaysia (TPM), what MSC refers to as 'cybercity. TPM, uniquely equipped with the first class infrastructure and services for technological innovation and R&D to enable knowledge-based industries to grow and compete in the global marketplace.

Come and visit us at the Malaysian Pavilion (Booth No: 10861, Central Hall) at the Las Vegas Convention Centre from 18th to 22nd November and you will see some of the up and coming companies. You will also learn why Malaysia is your ideal location for ICT products, services and solutions.

In addition to the Government agencies, there are 4 companies participating at COMDEX Fall 2002. They are:

·   Electric Angels MSC Sdn Bhd - specialises in building Internet software products. Electirc Angels will be launching itw two new products, MessageEasy and TrekEasy at COMDEX. (www.electricangels.com)

·   Ivoli Sdn Bhd -- end to end solutions provider with expertise in developing software and network applications and services (www.ivoli.com)

·   Procurehere Sdn Bhd -- a full-fledged procurement service provider (PSP). It provides e-procurement solutions for Malaysias various industries. (info@procurehere.com)

·   The Media Shoppe Sdn Bhd -- specialises in developing web-based applications for Intranet, content management system, platform for e-learning and content syndication engine. (www.tmsasia.com)
