NEW AUCTION WEBSITE KNOCKS E-BAY OUT OF THE BOX...NOT!
Audibleauctions.net is the 99 cents flat fee auction site for the underground community specializing in buying and selling records, mixtapes, graff supplies, action figures, skateboards and other goods.
Los Angeles, CA - November 25, 2002 - Shiro Fujioka a native born Los Angelino and his partner S.D. Magallanes launched their auction website Audibleauctions.net on October 1st of this year and there are already seventy-nine confirmed members and just under 100 auctions in progress. All of this was achieved with virtually no publicity. They aren't charging a fee to post items for sell until the end of December 2002. After that time they will charge a flat fee of ninety-nine cents to post an item. Unlike the other e-auction site they aren't charging auctioneers a percentage of their sales.
The site has a professional look and it's geared towards the underground bohemian crowd. Their goal isn't to compete with e-Bay. They appeal to a more mainstream client. To quote Mr. Fujioka, "I'm not trying to create a better e-Bay, our site is for graffiti writers, street skaters, action figure and comic book collectors, Hip-Hop and Indie Rock connoisseurs, and vinyl junkies."
Audibleauctions.net is the trading-center for the underground community.
