Fmr. UN weapons inspector urges Germany to close US military bases

Former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter urges Germany to close US military bases, if they`re needed for an unilateral attack against Iraq.

In an recent interview with European journalist network "Stories & Texte" former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter urges Germany to close US military bases in Germany, if they`re needed for an unilateral strike against Iraq. "That wouldn`t be a breach of international law", Ritter said. In the interview Ritter also applauded Schroeder`s decision not to support the Bush administration in its plans to attack Iraq.
