LogiMax & Psion Teklogix Enable Wireless Picking for Port of Corpus Christi Cold Storage

LogiMax 3PL solutions from ICS, and Psion Teklogix, a leading RF hardware manufacturer, worked together to provide the Port of Corpus Christi with a wireless multi-customer warehouse management solution utilizing Teklogix 7035 mobile computers.

ICS, Inc., the developer of LogiMax third-party logistics solutions, and Psion Teklogix (LSE: PON), a global industry leader in rugged mobile computing devices and wireless LAN systems, today announced they will implement the LogiMax multi-customer warehouse management solution with rugged Teklogix hand-held computers for the Port of Corpus Christi Cold Storage, a state-of-the-art refrigerated facility located on the Gulf of Mexico. ICS and Psion Teklogix worked together to deliver this wireless inventory management system that will decrease picking times and increase productivity and inventory accuracy for the Port of Corpus Christi.

The 100,000 sq. ft (9,290 sq meter) facility receives, stores and distributes fresh produce, frozen french fries, frozen shrimp, New Zealand meat and apples, and Australian beef imports. LogiMax, the leading third-party warehouse management solution developed by ICS, will be integrated to Teklogix 7035 freezer hand-held computers leveraging Psion Teklogix's 9150T wireless gateway.

Working in -10ºF conditions, the 7035 freezer hand-held computers will allow workers to scan cargo, update inventory databases in real-time, and streamline picking and shipping processes. LogiMax, a full-featured 3PL solution, will improve inventory visibility and will result in better service and lower costs for the Port of Corpus Christis Cold Storage customers.
