DATELINE: MARSHFIELD, RANDOLPH AND HALIFAX, MA, ISSUED NOVEMBER 21, 2002... Gloria Hitt, a Halifax, MA resident, has recently joined Damon, Topham and Company, LLC, as an accountant. Damon, Topham and Company is an accounting and management advisory firm based in Marshfield, MA.

In her new role at Damon, Topham and Company, Hitt will be responsible for accounting and tax preparation as well as for overseeing rental properties.

Hitt, who was previously semi-retired, operates the FACTS bookkeeping service and has catered to a variety of clients as a bookkeeping consultant for over 20 years. Prior to joining Damon, Topham and Company, Hitt spent seven years with the Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, MA, working as a consultant to the business manager before being appointed to the position of business manager. Her vast experience also includes bookkeeping for more than 10 years at a Needham, MA CPA firm.

A native of Randolph, MA, Hitt was educated in accounting at both Stonehill College in North Easton, MA and Massasoit Community College in Brockton, MA. She was an Associate Member of the Massachusetts CPA society for many years.
