The CEIM appoints Daniel Lambert as President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Daniel Lambert will be responsible for all development, operations and financing of the CEIM
Montréal, Québec, November 25, 2002 -- Mrs. Hélène Desmarais, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Centre dEntreprises et dInnovation de Montréal (CEIM), announces the appointment of Daniel Lambert, M. Sc., as President and Chief Operating Officer of the CEIM.
The CEIM is a non-profit organization whose objective is to offer cost-effective business services to entrepreneurs of the greater Montréal area, designed to help them increase their chances of success at all phases of their business growth. As President and COO of the CEIM, Mr. Lambert will be responsible for all development, operations and financing of the CEIM.
CEIMs mission is to help small businesses become big players," says Mrs. Desmarais. Mr. Lamberts strong business experience and valued expertise as a venture capitalist has significantly contributed to the expansion of the local economy, turning many small companies into success stories. We believe that his goal to help executives of young companies surpass themselves will yield significant, tangible results."
Mr. Lambert has been involved in the high technology industry since 1988. He started his career as an analyst at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, and then accepted a position of Director at Technocap, where he quickly became Vice President at the technology venture capital organization. He also worked in essentially the same capacity at Telsoft Ventures from 1997 to 2001. Throughout his career, Mr. Lambert has contributed to the rise and success of several innovative Canadian companies, most notably TelWeb (acquired by Schlumberger), WebPlan, RecruitSoft, Giganet (acquired by Emulex), SeeCommerce and SFI (acquired by BMC Software).
