Health Line Clinical Laboratories Set to Deploy LabDat and Medi-Gate for On-line Order Entry Medical Practices

East Brunswick, NJ -- November 25, 2002 Medi-Gate.net, Inc, an integration technology and network service organization for Internet--based healthcare transaction vendors (Medi-Gate), announced today that it has signed a practice management integration agreement with Health Line Clinical Laboratories (HLCL), a provider of laboratory services to medical facilities throughout California and the Pacific Southwest. HLCL will utilize the Medi-Gate Integrator(TM) to automate the extraction of patient data from practice management information systems to HLCLs on-line order entry system powered by LabDat, Inc. of California. Physicians will also be able to use the Medi-Gate Integrator to receive lab results back to their electronic medical record (EMR) systems or handheld-PDA devices.

The Medi-Gate Integrator(TM) is a downloadable application, which operates in conjunction with a physicians existing information systems to extract patient data in a secure manor to the HLCL on-line order entry system. As a result, physicians utilizing the interface do not have to re-key patient data on the LabDat web forms. The bi-directional feature of the Integrator will be utilized by HLCL to offer participating physicians the ability to receive lab results formatted to match their local EMR systems as well as handheld devices.

Medi-Gates real time feed and bi-directional capabilities from the clients practice management computer system are unique features that physicians practices have wanted in a seamless order entry to the lab and results report back to the EMR. LabDats newly released version 5.0 order entry system, with no screen refreshes, enhanced by Medi-Gates Integrator gives the physician practice and Health Line the most complete and efficient system available. The bi-directional capabilities of the Medi-Gate technology will allow physicians to populate their EMR systems electronically with lab results and simultaneously share those results with health risk management applications and other clinical transaction partners associated with their medical practice".
