UK-based webcasters stage "Day of Solidarity" in response to US-based webcasting plight UK to US - We Feel Your Pain

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) November 23, 2002 -Miles won't matter and the distance dividing the United States from the United Kingdom will be a little shorter on Saturday as UK-based webcasters reach across the ocean in support of their US-based mates.

Stage4 has decided to "nail its colours to the mast" as it sails through the raging debate and concerns facing US-based Internet Radio by holding a day of solidarity with US webcasters.

This Saturday, November 23, 2002 beginning at 9pm GMT, stage4 will be webcasting live from London (in collaboration with PirateTV.net) using only a cheap "Radio Shack" microphone, a collection of CDs and a syringe full of enthusiasm.

This special stage4 event will combine the usual eclectic mix of music, talk & mishaps and build up to a 2am GMT handover to the rogue squadron of stage4'ers who will be broadcasting live from New York.

Ann Gabriel, President, Webcaster Alliance commented:

  • are delighted and grateful that our fellow webcasters at stage4 have recognized our challenges with webcasting in the United States and appreciate the support and interest they are showing for the US-based streaming media community. The Webcaster Alliance is extremely appreciative of your efforts on our behalf and we look forward to participating in this great stage4 production."

  • good time is sure to be had by all, with stage4 camps on both sides of the ocean ready to gear up and tell the world the truth about the challenges facing webcasters in the United States.
