2002 QUEST FOR EXCELLENCE AWARD


   AUBURN HILLS, Mich. --- GKN Automotive Driveline has received a 2002 Quest for Excellence" Award from the readers of Automotive Industries magazine as one of the auto industrys top suppliers.

   GKN was honored for excellence in the field of traction systems based on a survey of Automotive Industries readers. Automotive Industries contacted over 12,000 of its OEM readers for their evaluation, which ranks suppliers on quality, pricing, delivery, service/response and innovation.

    Only OEM readers of the magazine who personally review, recommend, approve or purchase products in the field of traction systems took part in the survey," Rob Wilson, publisher of Automotive Industries said. To be ranked by your customers as the 'best of the best is a significant achievement."

GKN Automotive Driveline has 42 per cent by volume of the world market for Constant Velocity Joints.

A CVJ sideshaft consists of two joints plus a shaft that enable a vehicle's wheels to have full steering movement while accommodating suspension movement and providing constant torque transmission from the engine, yet minimizing noise, vibration and harshness. Over 80 per cent of GKN Automotive Drivelines sales are attributable to CVJs.
