Some good news from the Travel Business
Whilst many areas of the world are forecasting declines in tourism due to world events, the expanding markets of Eastern Europe are still reporting growth despite these difficult times.Tourism from Eastern Europe continues to grow as economies improve and people have disposable income to satisfy their wishes to travel
The star of Eastern Europe is Russia. The Russian Travel Trade has developed into one of the most important markets for many Countries and regions with free spending Russia tourists now a common site in many destinations.
Specialists from around the world gathered at the recent Moscow International Tourism Workshop that was held in Moscow in September. Participants from more than 20 countries had the opportunity to meet with Russian Tourism professionals to discuss future business in the calm business-like atmosphere.
This is a very important opportunity for us to meet with the Russian travel trade as they then have 6 weeks to prepare their materials for their main sales opportunity at the October exhibition" -- said Robby Chadha from the Herzog Tassilo Spa Hotel in Bad Hall, Austria. The Moscow Workshops are always well organised and well attended"
The Moscow International Tourism Workshops have operated in Moscow since 1999. Having been active in the Russian travel market since 1992 we saw a need for professional events to be held prior to the exhibitions and therefore created these workshops. We are especially pleased to have been able to welcome tourism specialists who have travelled from great distances including Ecuador, South Africa, Maldives and Peru to be at this event. It continues to show that Russia and the Russian market indicates great opportunities to forward thinking tourism suppliers, especially in these difficult times" -- Kim Waddoup, organiser and CEO of the Moscow International Travel Workshops.
The dates for 2003 are confirmed with many reservations already confirmed. The Moscow Summer workshop will take place on February 20th, 2003 and the Winter workshop on 04 September 2003".
Participation at the Moscow Tourism Workshops is open to any tourism professional. Further details can be found at www.MoscowWorkshop.com
