Public Sector Set to Run on Serco MailDefender
Services giant Serco will package intY anti-virus service for sale to the public sector

Business Internet solutions vendor intY today took a major step into the public sector following a deal to further develop the market for its anti-virus email filtering service - MailDefender. The resell agreement with Serco will see the global managed services provider use MailDefender as a key component of its managed IT security portfolio. The product will be repackaged as Serco MailDefender and sold to Serco's comprehensive range of clients.

The decision to work with intY comes as Serco looks to amplify its credentials as a provider of technology solutions. Historically, IT has been the primary focus of Serco Justice but since the creation of a new IT security team there has been an increased focus on the developments of a comprehensive managed security services portfolio. Moving forward, the partnership with intY is part of a greater progression toward extending and diversifying Serco Justice 's service offerings.
