The Norwalk Tree Alliance is conducting inventories of all the street trees in the City of Norwalk.
This is a volunteer effort, with the approval and cooperation of city officials. Accumulating tree data is part of Norwalk's master plan for managing its urban forest. The Forestry Division of the CT Department of Environmental Protection and the US Department of Agriculture Forest Service are supporting this project.
At the awards ceremony, Mayor Knopp stated Pride is a byproduct of hope for the future. Pride and hope for the future go hand in hand for this great city."
