Debuting at the recent WYSIWYG Film Festival in San Francisco, the powerful, pro-life indie feature "one day in may" won the award for "Most Creative Story Line".
Set in the waiting room of an abortion clinic, "one day in may" tells the story of a college senior who must overcome shame and abuse to fight for the life of his girlfriend's unborn baby.
The film co-stars Maria Bellantoni (ER, Law and Order), John-Paul Lavoiser (One Life to Live) and Chrisie Penna. It was directed by Mark Todd Bruner; cinematography by David Baldwin.
Dubbed a "Gen. X/Y Breakfast Club" meets the "ANTI-Ciderhouse Rules", the film strips away the politically correct gloss of "choice" to reveal the true nature of a day at an abortion clinic -- a traumatizing experience that is almost always fatal to an innocent, unborn baby and increases a woman's risk for breast cancer, suicide and depression, among other documented health problems.

"This powerful and touching film brought me to tears!" Toni Suttie, Integrity Casting.

"My work as the director of Life Choices, Inc. brings me in contact with literally hundreds of abortion vulnerable or post abortive women every year...I was struck by how realistic I have found this film. I felt as though I have met all the characters before..this portrayal will lead to a more compassionate response to the needs of those who consider abortion. Your audience will be moved to make a difference...to reach out to those who are abortion vulnerable. A powerful portrayal of choice and its aftermath contrasted with the Lord's call to embrace and protect Life."

-- Joan Fasanello, Life Choices, Inc.
