aller ID added to Knowledge Management Software
Caller ID function is now available on knowledge management software.
Auckland, 26 November 2002 -- Gelamen Ltd. today announced the addition of a Caller ID feature to its Gelamen knowledge management software for computers running Windows. Gelamen was originally written for personal use and small to medium sized users. An additional new product, GelamenSQL, was then added for medium to large organizations that use SQL servers. Now Caller ID has been added.
With the Caller ID system operating, caller information is instantly available even before you answer the phone. You can greet your customer by name and have his history and special requirements on your screen as you talk. A small caller ID box handling single or multiple lines, captures the callers phone number. Whatever information is appropriate to your requirements is stored in the Gelamen Knowledge Management database. You could, for example, have the callers photograph pop up if you are the sort of person who recognizes peoples faces but are not so good with names. If the caller is an important customer, you may want to display information regarding recent contracts or projects. Doctors and lawyers can have their clients information displayed immediately to avoid confusion. Powerful security provisions prevent authorized access.
