About Deaf Women Against Violence
Deaf Women Against Violence is a nonprofit agency for abused Deaf women and children. The agency is 100% percent accessible to Deaf people because of the staff's fluency in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture competency. All of the members of DWAV's Board of Directors are Deaf women leaders from different corners of our local Deaf community. We believe that violence against women and children cannot be tolerated and we work hard to see that it is removed through empowerment, education and services.
