Barzola & Asociados joins Russell Bedford International network in Peru

Peruvian CPA firm is latest addition to Russell Bedford's Latin American network

London-based worldwide accountancy group Russell Bedford International has added a member firm in Peru to its expanding Latin American network.

Barzola & Asociados s.c. has joined as the Russell Bedford member firm in Lima, offering a broad range of auditing, outsourcing, taxation and management consultancy services to local and international clients.

The auditing and consultancy practice was formed in 1993 by sisters Lic. Rocío Barzola and Lic. Maritza Barzola. Rocío Barzola founded an accounting services firm, SR Consultants, in 1991. This subsequently merged with the new firm, which was created to respond to a demand amongst clients for audit services.

The senior partner, Maritza Barzola, is a certified public accountant and qualified independent auditor with some 17 years of professional experience. Previously, she worked for two other audit firms (both members of international groups) and for the Banco Central de Crédito Cooperativo del Perú. She was also a partner in the audit firm Rodríguez Pinto & Asociados.

Rocío Barzola is also a certified public accountant and qualified independent auditor. In her 12 years of professional experience she has specialised in financial management, local taxation and auditing. She has worked for a number of commercial enterprises, such as Petroleos del Perú s.a., and for another local accountancy/audit firm before founding her own practice. For two years, she lectured at the Universidad del Pacífico in accountancy, financial management and finance for economists.

Russell Bedford International is now represented in a total of ten countries in Latin America. The new Peruvian firm joins existing regional members in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Uruguay and Venezuela.
