Mybookexchange.com introduces the first true" online book exchange service for college students, and readers; no selling or buying.

This news release is targeted at book readers, with emphasis on college students. The high cost of text books makes this site a true heaven for college students. However, because of the broad category of books, anyone that reads a few books per month may find this site very valuable.

Fort Lauderdale, FL - November 27, 2002 -- MyBookExchange.com introduces the first true" online book exchange service, where members can exchange books amongst themselves. There is absolutely no selling or buying. When you become a member you can exchange books, with other members, anywhere in the world.

The service is a cross between an auction site such as Ebay, and a book club on steroids." said Sean Jeffrey, founder mybookexchange.com, but there is no bidding. The original idea for this service was intended to help college students by providing an online medium for them to exchange text books. With the average cost of text books being approximately $70.00, and rising, it appealed to budget conscious college students. However, it was extended to the public on a whole, because of the far reach it can have in terms of the average person and affording many who cannot afford to buy new or used books, an inexpensive means of having access to virtually a worldwide database of books.

The service starts with one month free, the second and third months are only $4.95 per month, and thereafter a very affordable $9.95 per month. The great thing about this is that a family, or a small book club, can easily afford to read several books in any given month" Jeffrey said.

People having interest or historical connection to other parts of the world, can find books in their country of interest, and in its original language.

MyBookExchange.com plans to launch a full blown, real-world college student forum stacked with easy to use, human edited content and resources that actually makes sense to the students. Students will also be able to ask questions and receive answers from forum moderators, and chat on one of the sites educational chat rooms. No word on what the cost will be, but rest assured that it will be affordable. Launch is scheduled for spring 2003.
