The International Biographical Centre of Cambridge, England, confirmed the nomination of Dr. William K. Summers as an International Scientist of the Year for 2002. This award is made available to only a distinguished few individuals whose achievements and leadership stand out in the international scientific community.
Dr. Summers is one of the pioneers in Alzheimers research. As a physician-researcher, he has researched Alzheimers disease since 1977, and has worked with memory-impaired patients for over twenty years. His research led to the FDA approval of Tacrine (Cognex) as the first safe and effective treatment of Alzheimers disease. He has developed an all-inclusive approach to the diagnosis and care of the memory-impaired patient, combining currently available treatments and medications with neuroceutical supplements. Memory Support" (patent-pending), developed by Dr. Summers, is a uniquely formulated neuroceutical supplement designed to slow degenerative aging effects on the brain, improve memory and generally increase energy.
