Oxymoronic cowboy releases second book through Lightning Source

Any cowboy who can rope and doctor cattle, build a website and a blackberry quiche all in the same day is the epitome of being oxymoronic!

Cowboy /author Bob Kinford is as much at home on the range baking a blackberry quiche as he is out on the range doctoring cattle off of a half broke bronc He has just released his second book titled Cowboy Goremay (from hoof to palate), through his "Too Lazy For You Livestock & Literary Company."
Contemporary publishers refused to publish this manuscript because, as one publisher bluntly put it "cowboys don't cook like this!"
Cowboy Magazine (Which has been publishing Bob's stories for years) calls this a "true cowboy cookbook, written by a real cowboy." Ninety recipes all preceded by the story behind the recipe(which you have to watch, because in true cowboy fashion not al of the stories are what they seem to be) Cowboy Goremay (from hoof to palate) ISBN # 0-966089014 is distributed through Ingram's Lightning Source Program
Bob's first book Cowboy Romance (of horseweat & hornflies)ISBN# 0966089006 was first released in 1998. This book of true "concussion induced" stories from Bob's life of a working cowboy has been slowly selling despite the first distributor going bankrupt and the second selling only to gift shops and feed stores. It is available to bookstores from Book Clearing House at 46 Purdy Street, Harrison, NY 10528 Phone 800-431-1579 Fax: 914-835-0398
Both books are also available through his cowboy built and maintained website at http://www.2lazy4u.com.
BLACKBERRY QUICHE
With Summer come the berries. Wading through the ocean of thorns, you hear the buzzing sound of rattlesnakes on either side of you while swatting mosquitoes off of your face and pulling thorns from your arm. Just when you think things could be no worse, a bear stands in front of you, licking berry juice from his lips. Not knowing what to do, you just stand there. The snakes and the bear leave and so do you. After you get home and have breakfast, the thorns don't seem to be so bad, and the bugs, snakes and bear seem to be less important- Breakfast sure was good and you are already planning another trip to the berry patch!
9" pie shell (see page 124)
1 c blackberries
8 oz whipped cream cheese
3 eggs
1/2 pt whipping cream
1/2 c sugar
1/3 c unbleached flour
Preheat oven to 375. Melt cream cheese in a microwave or double boiler. While cheese is melting spread berries evenly over the bottom of pie shell. Separate eggs, beating whites until they are stiff. In a separate bowl, whip cream until stiff enough to form peaks. Combine egg whites and cream, mixing on low; add egg yolks and sugar. Slowly sprinkle flour into this, then slowly add cream cheese. Continue mixing until all ingredients are
well blended. Pour batter over berries and bake at 375 for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let cool 10 minutes and serve. Serves 4.
