Stand number 1220, Telecom Asia 2002, 2-7th December, Hong Kong

At Telecom Asia 2002 Aculab, a leading provider of enabling technology for the communications market, will highlight additions to its portfolio of speech technology products, including its new IP telephony cPCI card, which will be launched at the show.

Senior Aculab staff will be available to talk about Aculabs highly acclaimed speaker verification and identification (SVI) software. This technology uses statistical data to confirm a caller's identity by their unique voiceprint, providing an extremely cost effective, convenient and secure way to access personal information over the phone.

The latest version of Aculabs text-to-speech (TTS) software will be demonstrated, which comes with improved accuracy and pronunciation for use in telephony applications and features a talking dictionary creation tool. The new version software also supports W3C-standard speech synthesis mark-up language (SSML).

When used with Aculabs Prosody digital signal processor (DSP) resource cards, SVI and TTS are available under a cost free licence from Aculabs website.

Also on show for the first time will be Aculabs new IP telephony cPCI card, which is being launched at Telecom Asia. This new standard based IP telephony cPCI card is designed for computer telephony developers and system integrators who are seeking to implement conversation quality speech over IP networks and offers up to 120 channels with low latency using H.323 or SIP in a single slot.

Alongside Aculab on the booth will be eight Connected with Aculab" partners that will demonstrate a variety of products with the Aculab portfolio. They are Card Access Services, Continuous Technologies, Dealing Communications Solutions, Designcom, MPC, N-Soft, Pronexus and VoiceCodes.

For more information, visit Aculab and partners at the Telecom Asia show, 2-7th December, at stand number 1220, Hong Kong conference and exhibition center, Hong Kong.
