Anti-Tobacco lobby: Crusaders or Marauders? How can Smokers Win?

The Anti-Smoking lobby has effectively attacked smokers and their wallets via taxation and social ridicule. Finally smokers can help themselves at least in a cost saving manner by sidestepping the so-called "sins" tax that has been imposed on them.

For years now, special interest groups and the political establishment has successfully eroded your right to choose on a number of issues, not the least of which is Tobacco.

If you are a smoker in today's political environment, you are no doubt frustrated with society's attempts to label you a second class citizen. These injustices are varied in form and are felt every time you are asked to leave an establishment because you smoke. When you are singled out for higher insurance rates. When you are subjected to almost radical peer intervention as a result of a massive anti-smoker campaign mounted by special interest. Not to mention huge, highly directed tax burdens sometimes called 'Sins' taxes.

While there is not much that we can do to cushion this assault against our right to personal choice overall, you can reduce the impact of one of them.

What many special interest groups do not want you to know, is that you can thwart one of their most successful campaigns against you. That is the their success to level a 'sins' tax against your right of choice. Over the years, the anti smoking lobby has levied a huge blitz to our political component in this nation. The consequence to smokers of this country is a taxation that goes far above reason and nicknamed the 'Sins tax'.

In an almost embarrassing oversight by the anti-smoking lobby was a little known loophole in the law that allows select groups of people the right of exemption to taxation and reporting of tobacco sales. This loophole has its basis in treaties between the US and the Indian Nations. In many a court action directed at defeating this loophole the tribal right to produce and sell tax free tobacco products has been defended over and over again.

In a land where the overwhelming power of special interest money routinely suppresses your individual choices, you suddenly have a victory. The US Indian Nations operating on sovereign territory and under treaty stipulations have provided to us the ability to defeat one of the many aggressions against us.

Smoker's Choice Web Site has been running an educational campaign to inform people of this added choice. Times are tighter economically, so much so that every little bit helps. With this little piece of information smokers can help themselves make ends meet despite the huge campaign against them.

It's time to end the great tax rip-off!
