Weather for You Heads Into Fifth Year of Service... Adds New Radar, Satellite and International Products... Performs Major Update to Web Site
Innovative Internet weather service provider weatherforyou.com has added and improved radar and satellite images. Also new international products have been added. Overall site design has been improved and updated.
Weather for You has updated and improved the weatherforyou.com web site with some major additions and changes. New radar and satellite images have been included. Also more international weather information is now available.
The overall look of the site has been improved with a clean, new design. A colorful and informative map with a combined satellite and radar image opens the site. From there, visitors can select a number of options based on the information they're looking for.
As part of the new satellite images, regional views are now available. These can be animated to show movement of clouds. Pacific and Atlantic images have been added, and a very interesting image showing the world's weather.
Radar images also now offer a regional view, in addition to national and local. Snow data has been added to the general precipitation information.
For International information, short-range forecasts are available for many locations.
These changes are part of Weather for You's overall policy to provide quality, informative weather information without intrusive or excessive advertising. According to Joe Torsitano, maximizing the users overall experience will provide greater results. "If the visitor has a good experience, they'll be back. That's worth more to me than what I'd get from annoying ads that pop-up, fly through or flash." While advertising is an important part of the site's revenue, each advertiser and ad is personally approved by Torsitano to insure it won't detract from the visitor's experience.
Weather for You has been one of the most innovative weather information sites on the Internet. This month they will begin their fifth year of service. During that time they were one of the first sites to include current conditions from personal weather stations. That program has grown to over 400 stations. The information collected by weatherforyou.com is also being used by the National Weather Service for research and education programs.
Information from other sources, not used by other sites, was also added. This gives weatherforyou.com some of the most complete information for more locations than any other source.
Torsitano says they're constantly looking for more information and new partners, and plan on adding even more new features during the upcoming year.
