The study identifies the current perceptions of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) among companies who offer BPO solutions and services, analyzes their current Marketing and Sales strategies, and outlines the major challenges that BPO providers are facing. The data for the study was gathered by conducting in-depth interviews with executives at 20 leading companies in the BPO field.
The study is intended to help vendors in the BPO industry better understand the current competitive landscape. The study found that several obstacles exist for BPO providers, but one of the most pressing at this time is the hazy perception among companies worldwide as to what BPO truly is and what BPO actually offers. BPO vendors also face the challenge of being able to deliver advantages in strategic positioning, more efficient processes, better employee and customer satisfaction while many customers are just concerned with the bottom line and immediate return on investment.
