Chesterfield MO., November 21, 2002: Unibased Systems Architecture (USA) accepted an agreement with Jewish Hospital of Louisville, Kentucky. Under the agreement, USA will upgrade its periOperative Charting System to enhance OR charting operations. These enhancements are targeted to specifically improve efficiency in the complex, high volume surgical environments at Jewish Hospital. USA successfully addresses complex, large-scale surgical environments with its periOperative Operating Room Management System (ORMS) as it does with ancillary management through its number one rated Enterprise Resource Management System (RMS).
JHHS, a regional referral center noted recently for artificial heart implant surgery, has been using USAs RMS/ORMS since February 2001. The Hand Care Center at Jewish, the first hospital in the United States to provide state of the art, unique facilities specially designed and equipped to treat hand injuries and diseases, is recognized for the first successful hand transplant surgery. Speaking for JHHS, David C. Pecoraro, Vice President and Chief Information Officer stated, The USA product is the most impressive software and technology solution that I have experienced in my twenty years as CIO of Jewish Hospital." JHHS has estimated more than 1 million dollars in annualized cost savings in combination with increased patient volumes in a recent return on investment (ROI) report regarding the implementation and process refinement associated with USAs RMS/ORMS integrated product set.
USA markets Resource Management System (RMS), a family of open, scalable, integrated client/server solutions, designed to meet the needs of multi-facility healthcare providers. RMS schedules patients, caregivers, supplies, equipment, drugs and facilities in a convenient, cost efficient manner. ORMS is an integrated companion product to RMS, meeting the specific requirements of management for a surgery suite. These products operate as integrated applications and share the same technical infrastructure. For the third year, the RMS family of products, including ORMS, were recognized as 'best product", and the company as best overall" in its market by KLAS, an independent consulting firm. USAs A*SET relational database management system (RDBMS) has more than 10,000 installations within the HIT market based upon sales by USA and its VARS. USA products and services are available through direct sales, strategic partners, VARs and system integrators. USA is a private corporation founded in 1986, and is based in Chesterfield, Missouri.
