Axiom Launches Advanced Configuration For Provisioning

Highlights · Reduces time to market for new products and services and cuts provisioning time by up to 72% · Configures provisioning processes without the need for code or database changes · New services defined within minutes rather than days · Integrates traditional workflow methodology with automated project management

Combining the management tools of workflow, project management and process management, Axiom Systems has taken provisioning to a dynamic new level with the launch of the AXiOSS O2S Designer. The newly developed graphical configuration tool eliminates the need for complex coding or database changes, which improves time to market for services and reduces costs throughout the service delivery process. O2S Designer can reduce time to market for each new service by up to 72%.

O2S Designer is the first comprehensive tool of its type that incorporates flowcharting with timelines and Gantt charts, combining traditional workflow with project management. It enables Service Providers (SPs) to define the structure of different paths through the service delivery process enabling any data, activities, functions and help that are required, to be accessed, manipulated and controlled using simple drag and drop techniques via an intuitive GUI interface.

These features of the O2S Designer create benefits for SPs by rapidly reducing the time to rollout new products and services, increasing visibility of service paths, simplicity and speed in constructing complete and complicated workflow and enabling faster configuration. Additional intelligence enables the product to analyse activity dependencies in the delivery process. By managing jeopardies, initiating automatic escalations and rollbacks with a unique in-built concept of combining workflow with project management and time. The simplicity and flexibility of O2S Designer means that an Operational Supervisor will be sufficiently skilled to create a fully functioning template, saving SPs staff and training costs.

Consider a scenario where an SP is challenged with rolling out new content-based services across a new DSL network. The first task is for the designers within the organisation to model the DSL order process. Working directly with the personnel involved in the service delivery process, the designer is now able to use the AXiOSS O2S Designer to build a template containing each of the tasks including task precedence, task attributes, exception handling, etc.

Using simple drag and drop techniques within a graphical interface, a definition of the new service can be entered into the system within minutes - a task that could previously take hours or days to complete. Other SP personnel, including those in remote locations can then view (and/or edit) the new service delivery template reducing time to agree a full functional design and also increasing the service design quality and reliability.

Alexander Evans, Chief Executive Officer at Axiom says, We have entered a new era of on-demand business in which Service Providers need to quickly adapt to changing marketplaces. Only by utilising a flexible and integrated suite such as AXiOSS will they achieve competitive advantage through efficient provisioning."
