The CHANCES Event benefits The Womens Violence Prevention Project, a Boston-based specialized street outreach team trained in techniques and strategies for identifying and building trusting relationships with women living on the streets who experience physical and sexual abuse.
The outreach team provides access as well as comfort, support and hope to homeless women as they navigate medical, legal and substance abuse services. The team also helps coordinate a continuum of care with partners from the many established resources serving women in need.
The goal of The Womens Violence Prevention Project is to help a woman living on the streets escape physical and sexual abuse.
