Winans Family Concert Captured on Film - Available Exclusively to Churches as First-Run Theatrical Release
The Winans Family and The Graffiti Organization presents the "The Winans Family Live." On June 29, 2002 a stellar performance was filmed in New Orleans at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre that captured the Winans family at their very best. Delores "Mom" and David "Pop" Winans have nurtured a family with few peers in the musical world. A musical tradition that now spans three generations of unparalleled musical talent deeply and sincerely rooted in the Gospel tradition.
The family has been blessed with numerous awards; more than 30 Grammy Awards, 6 NAACP Image Awards, 20 Stellar Awards and 15 Dove Awards. They have performed before millions of fans worldwide, from Detroit to London to South Africa and numerous points in between. For more than 30 years the Winans family has been spreading their musical ministry to the world. In the spring of 2002, three generations of Winans embarked on a 35 city US tour spreading the word to old fans and picking up many new ones.
The exclusive theatrical church release will commence in churches across the country the weekend of December 27, 2002 or January 3, 2003. The concert film will be screened in Dolby 5.1 surround sound where available. The film will allow friends, fans and followers of the Winans to enjoy magnificent performances from Mom and Pop, The Winans, BeBe and CeCe, Daniel Winans, Angie and Debbie and Winans Phase II.
The theatrical release will offer families across the country to experience the concert as close to live as one can get and at an affordable price for all. In select markets Winans family members will be on hand to introduce the film.
